I’m a critically-acclaimed author of books for all ages. I’ve been published by a smaller press, the “Big Five,” and have independently published my own work as well. I write in a wide variety of genres (contemporary, romance, women’s fiction, thriller, humor, juvenile, etc.); my work has received starred reviews in Booklist and Publishers Weekly, has won silver and gold medals in ForeWord Reviews Book of the Year and the IPPY Awards, respectively, has been featured on Booklist’s Best First Novels for Youth and School Library Journal’s What’s Hot in YA, and has been a PW Pick of the Week.

At heart, I’ve always been a storyteller—shifting between genres and age categories, moving between e-books and print. I go wherever the story takes me…

I’ve also met some truly incredible teachers and librarians, especially as I’ve visited with young readers’ groups to discuss my MG THE JUNCTION OF SUNSHINE AND LUCKY. I’ll be highlighting some of the inspiring work happening in classrooms and librarians, too.
